WWhen it comes to gastronomic reputation in Europe, France is the recognised king. How- ever, London has its own cuisine and boasts several trendy as well as classic restaurants. Fortunately there are high quality restaurants
er, the downstairs area can be just as rewarding to the palate. The food is impressive on both floors; especially for a restaurant of this size. And, it is priced quite reasonably given the usual standards for exceptionally good food in London.
The main restaurant of the Capital Hotel has an excellent menu and is not at all pretentious. The regular patrons know the chef values the food he serves much more than the accolades he might receive. This restaurant is still considered somewhat “under the radar”. Consequently, it provides excellent value for money compared to restaurants of comparable quality.
Seafood is the specialty at J. Sheekey. Consis- tent visitors swear by the good food, attentive staff and the pleasant comfortable ambiance. The professional staff are there to ensure the success of your night at the theatre. Chinese food is quite plentiful in the West End as well. Hakkasan has the best available dim sum. However, it is quite expensive. Bar Shu features
throughout London in every price range.
Undoubtedly, your UK holiday is sure to bring you to the shops, art galleries and
theaters of the Soho area of the West End. A great dinner before the show or high tea to break up your shopping is an absolute tra- dition. This article is where you will find
