companied by a delightful array of chutney sauces. Among them is the city’s secret weapon—a unique and addictive red chut- ney sauce that perfectly balances sweetness with a spicy kick. This is just the beginning of the flavour adventure that awaits.
For starters, I had the pleasure of savouring both meat and vegetable deep- fried samosas. The meat samosa was a mouth-watering delight, with its fluffy pas- try enveloping a succulent blend of minced meat and peas. The vegetable samosa, sea- soned to perfection, paired beautifully with their creamy raita sauce, offering a taste explosion that left me wanting more.
For the main course, I was treated to a trio of dishes that showcased the culinary mastery of Anakana. The grilled chicken tikka masala was a masterpiece in its own right, with perfectly grilled chicken pieces bathed in a mildly spicy, subtly sweet, and wonderfully creamy sauce. The chicken tikka, made without dairy, was a revelation, with its distinct flavour derived from fresh coconuts and fragrant herbs. And the spicy Jalfrezi, filled with peppers and aromatic herbs, delivered a fiery kick that left my taste buds dancing.
To complete this culinary adventure, I savoured a generous serving of fragrant pilav rice and a peshwari naan that was the epitome of soft, sweet perfection. And what better way to wash down such an exquisite meal than with a fresh mango Lassi?

of Mr. Tazul Islam since 2009, City of Paris Restau- rant retains its original name as a tribute to the building’s heritage. Locals and regulars
often gather here to reminisce about the history of this iconic establishment and its
original owners. The restaurant has seamlessly combined the old and the new, providing a space where history meets modernity.
A true highlight of Anakana is its manager, Shofiq, whose warm demeanour and deep knowledge of the restaurant’s
