ment. His insights serve as both a beacon of hope and a call to embrace the higher dimen- sions of existence. Whether you are a long-time practitioner of meditation or simply beginning to explore the vast realms of spiritual growth, Michael Goddart’s words will leave you enriched, enlightened, and eager to embark on your own journey towards self-realisation.
What inspired you to begin your spiritual journey at such a young age?
One, who has realized their divinity, and who can initiate you into the practice of meditation on the Sound Current (aka Word, Holy Ghost, Logos, Shabd).
In your book In Search of Lost Lives, how do you think understanding past lives can impact one’s current life?
Understanding your past lives can first, reveal the causes and reasons for inexplicable aspects of your life. Second, it can illumi-
nate why you’ve felt immediate feelings of closeness with persons you meet and then get to know them readily because you’ve known them in past lives. It can also resolve and dissolve unwarranted aversions and dislikes. More important, through recovering and knowing the main trajectory of your past lives, you can begin to see and understand your indi- vidual journey, that of a spiritual being having human experiences. Knowing key past lives can illuminate experiences that furthered your spiritual evolution but also your devolution.
What role do you think love plays in the
journey towards spiritual enlightenment?
Love plays the supreme role in the journey towards spiritual enlightenment. Our essence is love. That is who we truly are. Loving consciousness is the wisdom to awaken to and learn. We are born to learn to love, to realize true love as best we can, and we have the opportunity to return to Love via the soul’s realization of increasingly higher and purer states of consciousness. But we get lost in everything else; the mind loves its diversions, its immersions, its benders, all to forget the self, that spark of immortal love. If we are evolving towards Love, we are shedding our ego and downward, outward tendencies and becoming purer, higher, more loving, more awakened in LoveSource. That is the name I write for the One that is nameless.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors who wish to write about spirituality and personal growth?
Identify with being a seeker after Truth. When asked similar questions in my inter- views, I say that to be a seeker is the highest calling. Read widely. Meditate. Use your innate intuition to suss out the truth. Embrace your calling that you are on your path of spiritual evolution in the process of self-re- alization. In A New Now, in the meditations “The Wisdom of Seeking God” and “The Joy of Becoming,” I write about the seeker’s path. If you are an aspiring author, write daily if you can. Develop your higher knowing to discover what to write. Even if you don’t aspire to be an author, you can write in a Journey Journal about your experiences of awakening further and making best use of your life.
Recent past lives prepared and primed me to seek my current spiritual path at such a young age. Twelve past lives back, when I was a
very high-up government official, through my association with two Tibetan Buddhist monks I realized that humans have the potential to attain a higher consciousness that sweeps
up through the heavens. As my past lives progressed, I was a priest in Prague, then a monk in Slovenia, then an Indian business owner who practiced raja yoga. When I served as a banker in Bombay during the Raj, I met
a God-realized Saint, and that turbocharged my search for a true living Saint this current lifetime.
How have your experiences in different countries influenced your writing and spiritual teachings?
Having traveled in over fifty countries and worked in twenty, my greatest impression is that in actuality, we are all one and, at heart,

all want the same thing—love. However positively or negatively expressed or masked. These life experiences have inspired my calling to share spiritual truths with readers and listeners to empower them to lead lives of increasing awareness, bliss, and love.
Can you share a significant lesson you learned from one of your spiritual teachers in India?
The lesson that is driven home again and again is that we have been given the most precious gift—our human life. We were born to realize our fullest potential. That is self- and God-realization. Now is our time to evolve and mature spiritually.
What do you believe is the most common misconception people have about meditation?
The main misconception is actually a lack of understanding and appreciation that medita- tion can lead to an existence of unalloyed joy and wonder. Also, to truly meditate you need
